Hidden Level is looking for a Procurement Analyst – Buyer/Planner to procure materials, equipment, supplies, and services for a Central New York startup. Reporting to the Vice President, Manufacturing and Deployment, this unique position for a growing venture is suited for a confident hands-on self starter. The role will be responsible for helping to develop, support and execute sourcing strategies. You will prepare requests for quotations (RFQ) and requests for proposals (RFP) in accordance with specifications, requirements, statements of work and terms and conditions. You will be tasked with administering purchase contracts and should be skilled in sourcing, supplier relationship management, pricing analysis, and be a skilled negotiator.

As a Procurement Analyst, you can expect to…

  • Execute and manage purchase orders / change orders to support defined requirements
  • Expedite orders when required to ensure on-time shipments
  • Obtain quotes, examine bids and negotiate cost and schedule
  • Manage inventory replenishment and address changes
  • Conduct cost-benefit analysis to determine where we can improve cost, schedule, and quality
  • Identify alternative sources for materials and services
  • Following RFP/RFQ, provide detailed information and recommendations to senior leadership based on vendors’ responses
  • Develop an effective and accurate system for monitoring purchase order to include a weekly PO status report
Play a vital role in evolving company policies and procedures related to the Supply Chain:
  • Help develop, implement, and maintain a world class Material Management & Purchasing System
  • Support the development of a process to manage supplier performance, including quality, on time delivery, cost and ability to meet current and future needs.
  • Help guide financial decisions by making recommendations and applying company policies and procedures
Help in continuing to build a great organization:
  • Contribute to sustaining an environment of trust and productivity
  • Help develop, implement and support short and long-term operational strategies and software
  • Actively participate and present in team meetings

A successful candidate will have…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management
  • ASCM or ISM Certifications (CPIM, CSCP, or CPSM); desirable but not required
  • Ability to work independently with attention to detail for all work products
  • Ability to handle a dynamic work environment with a great multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to foster and maintain positive internal and external relationships
  • 5+ years experience with evidence of experience in Purchasing and Supply Chain Analysis
  • A team focused mentality with interest in positive results
  • Desire to live in Central New York area
