As a Software Engineer at Hidden Level, you will work in a small, motivated, cross disciplinary team passionate about solving challenging problems and delivering results. Get hands-on with custom hardware and cloud infrastructure and use your software skills to help us accelerate product development, production, and deployment of our state of the art sensor network.

As a Software Engineer, you can expect to…

Work in a motivated cross-disciplinary Team Environment:
  • Work in a small, dedicated team passionate about solving challenging problems and delivering results
  • Collaborate with RF, Digital, Systems, and other Software engineers to advance complete lifecycle capabilities
  • Play an active role in the validation and verification of solution-wide capabilities
Design and implement the tools to produce, deploy, and maintain cutting-edge hardware and software platforms:
  • Create software tools that test, characterize, and calibrate custom hardware components and complex sensor systems
  • Improve and extend software used to identify optimal sensor configurations, locations, and streamline our network deployment process
  • Work with senior engineers to design and implement the communication architecture and data analytics used for real-time health monitoring, fault analysis, and management of a geographically distributed sensor network
Work within and harden our existing software development best practices:
  • Participate in collaborative design and code reviews
  • Document and clearly communicate designs to peers
  • Test and validate designs to ensure proper and bug free operation

A successful candidate will have…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or Software Engineering
  • 2 to 5 years industry experience
  • Strong coding background in Python 3 and Javascript; C/C++ is a plus
  • Basic experience with building applications in a web-framework like Flask
  • Experience with UART and USB devices, UDP and TCP sockets, performing bit manipulation and binary data analysis
  • Comfort working in both Linux and Windows Operating Systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and overcome technical challenges through teamwork and collaboration
  • A strong desire to learn and great communication skills
  • Experience with the following is a plus:
    • Frameworks such-as React or Angular
    • SQL database design
    • Working in lab environments around ESD sensitive hardware
    • Using General Purpose I/O devices, and lab equipment like Signal Generators and Spectrum Analyzers
